FIRST EDITION COLLOTYPE LITHOGRAPHS using nine colors plus gold. Printed on very fine imported rag paper. Vienna: Max Jaffe, 1932. Prices and measurements accompany the description of each individual image.

The American Revolution and George Washington are the focus of these highly patriotic images which highlight the battles, personalities and historic events surrounding America's struggle for Independence. The original watercolors were accomplished by Szyk during 1930-31 and were exhibited at the French Exposition in Paris, 1931. In 1935 the President of Poland, Ignacy Moscicki, purchased the original miniatures from Szyk for 15,000 Polish sloty ($2,848.50) and presented them to President Franklin D. Roosevelt; they hung in The White House until 1941. They reside today in the FDR Library in Hyde Park, New York.

These individual collotype lithographs are Very Scarce. The complete portfolio (see our Book section) of 38 collotype lithographs is rarely seen on the market.
